About me

Art has always been my passion, though I initially chose a career in nursing. As my kids grew older, I returned to painting and began experimenting with different media—resins, plasters, clay, inks, even gourd carving! My love for resin, thanks to my chemistry background, eventually led me to jewelry-making.

For the past two years, I gifted my pieces to friends and family until they encouraged me to start selling. So, after two years of brainstorming, I landed on the perfect name: The Kaw Collective. Inspired by my favorite place, the Kaw River, where I spend hours rowing and paddleboarding, I consider the blue heron, who often follows me along the river, as my spirit guide.

One day, I hope to have a studio where artists can come together to share, showcase, and create. Until then, thank you for joining me on this journey as I navigate the world of online sales!
